Amiina Ministries is proactive in coming alongside families that are on the fringes.
The sad truth is that 80% of children living in orphanages or on the streets actually have at least one parent or living relative, but because of extreme poverty, they can’t take care of them due to lack of means, education or support.
We begin by empowering and equipping caregivers in discovering the Fatherheart of God and their purpose and potential.
Our Ugandan staff are trained and know how to serve their local Families. We equip the families in our program through the same holistic approach we use with their children. When parents are empowered and equiped to nurture, care and love their own,
they can confidently walk in God's purpose and break the generational strongholds that can come with living in extreme poverty.
Holistic Approach in action!
Worship, prayer, Bible Studies, Connect them to the local church.
We offer counseling to address the trauma that comes from abuse, neglect and loss. We partner with other ministries when the needs go beyond our capabilities.
We come alongside in making their homes safe and sanitary. We help provide clean accessible water, and assist in carrying the burden of medical expenses that may be present.
We offer many classes on parenting, nutrition, hygiene, financial, sewing & baking that can lead to income generating opportunities and self sufficiency.
We create a safe space for them to come, share, dream and work together. Share cost groups are formed.
Caregiver's Trainings- Urban Farming
Each of our caregivers are invited to attend trainings pertaining to various life skills including urban farming. Our goal is for each family to be come self-sufficient and confident that through Jesus, they can break the generational cycle of poverty.
Join us in Restoring Families!
The support for our Caregivers is funded through our Restore a Family Fund.
We believe support for caregivers and children are of equal importance. Each donation goes directly towards our holistic approach as we support caregivers in our program.
